Sorry Everybody!

I wasn't even thinking when I wrote the name of our product in the blog that it could be found by googling, and I totally apologize, and have made the changes that needed to be made. I hope that we can still keep sharing fun stories and ideas, and again, am sorry that this got brought to the attention of marketing, etc because of the words used.

Talk to you all soon- be careful out there- it's snowy and icy!!

This is too good not to post here....a friend sent me the photo below and the explanation:

Preparing for a going away party, an Arkansas business manger called the local Wal-Mart bakery to order the cake with the inscription: "Best Wishes, Suzanne" Then underneath that "We will miss you."

Tom's Pic

You asked for it and I have it: Tom Chapin as the Circus Master exploring his 814 steps up the stairs to CS success. It is always memorable to watch him perform. This pic is of Tom in Tucson, AZ (circa Jul 2007).

How Sweet It Is...

When you’re out there over-tired and over-traveled and sick of everyone asking you “I printed off the interventions and sent them to the teacher and she says she doesn’t have time to have the kids sit on the floor and point to a dime or a penny and I don’t have time for that either so what should I do??” and suddenly you happen upon a little oasis of love and happiness…

For me today it was an Elementary School in Clark County, and it was this teacher and her ‘ Club’. She has worked so hard to make all these kids feel special and excited about using the exercises- one cute redhead actually turned around when I said I where I worked and said “You work for them? Then let me introduce myself!!” Julie says he talks about the program all day every day. Sweet- yes??

These kids, and this teacher totally made my day, and I had to share them with you all on our new blogging fun page! Take heart weary travelers, we really are making a difference!!

Two Exercises (you know their names)

If my "tip" doesn't get published, you've hear it directly from the horse's mouth. For the two beginning products in the Secondary Series, in the sweeping tones exercises, have the student enter the HELP mode immediately each day for 15 seconds or so, so the student gets used to the high and low tone sweeps that will start the session. Then, they return to the non-HELP screen and do their protocol time. This is especially useful after a weekend or after a long break from lab. I think this is a superb idea! (Justine, you can add the picture, since you seem to be so good at that!)

Words of Wisdom from Karen

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose
recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature
instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances
complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community
and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die,
for the harder I work the more I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” to me.
It is a sort of splendid torch which I have hold of for the moment,
and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on
to future generations.”

The blog could look something like this...

Title: The Travel Nightmare

And here is our first entry, by our own Debi Lee Winterhalder

Got up at 4:15 am to catch a 6:20 am flight from San Diego to Great Fall MT. (Of course I got in from a flight at 10:50 pm and actually toyed with the idea of sleeping in my car at the airport) Get to Airport at 5:15 am and find out the flight is canceled due to mechanical issues. Stand in long line to get another flight. On hold with Alaskan Airlines the whole time but never get an agent. Able to book a flight on American Eagle leaving at 8:30 am to San Jose and then United flights to Denver and Great Falls. Take bus to commuter terminal. Find out I am on Stand By for all segments of the trip . Able to get on flight to San Jose. Plane moves on down the runway, but then pulls over. Announcement that the plane need more fuel because of fog??????? Stay at fuel area for 35 minutes....I have hour connection. I bravely go up to flight attendant and pilots and say "if you not think I will make my 10:20 connection - GET ME OFF THIS FLIGHT, I do not want to be stuck in San Jose" I did not say it . The pilot said it is quite irregular but when they took one look at my face they decided to call the gate agent to lead me off plane, get my carry on from the storage area and lead me across the tarmac. I got on the Terminal Bus to Terminal 1 and realize....I don't have my laptop!! I had taken it out of the carrying case so another passenger could put his junk in the overhead bin and put it under the seat in front of me. I grab another bus back and plead with agent to see if plane has left. He looked at me as if I was nuts. They "don't do THAT" Here come the waterworks (Doug you may not relate) Another agent said he will try. He leaves for 10 minutes and actually returns with my laptop . Imagine that American Eagle flight was still on the ground after all that time.

Well, I am now at home waiting to leave for a 4:00 pm flight that get me into Great Falls MT at 11:00 pm. I know once I get my rental car and drive through the predicted "snow flurries" I will not arrive at the school location until 1:30 pm. Another day in the life of a Road Warrior, and to think I don't even get paid for my travel time.
